Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia Japanese Pokemon Sets Top 10 Most Valuable Cards Set List

Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia mark the return of Mega Evolution to the Pokémon TCG for the first time since the XY and Sun & Moon series. These sets introduce powerful Mega Evolution Pokémon ex worth three Prize cards, following the standard Stage and Evolution mechanics of their base Pokémon. This new variant of Pokémon ex features a distinctive black-and-yellow ex symbol. The first revealed cards, Mega Lucario ex and Mega Gardevoir ex, were showcased during the Pokémon Presents livestream on Pokémon Day 2025 alongside a dedicated trailer.

For the first time, these sets also include Full Art SR (Super Rare) versions of Item, Pokémon Tool, and Stadium cards—equivalent to Ultra Rares in English releases.

A completely new rarity, MUR (Mega Ultra Rare), debuts in these expansions. These are special gold-etched Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards with unique artwork, depicting the Mega-Evolved Pokémon in front of ornate circular backdrops. Unlike UR (Ultra Rare) cards—which often reuse SR artwork—MUR cards feature entirely original designs.

Release Information:

• Japan: August 1, 2025 (5 cards per booster pack, 30 packs per booster box)

• Cards from both sets will be included in the English Mega Evolution expansion.

Type Distribution:

• Mega Brave contains no Lightning- or Dragon-type Pokémon.

• Mega Symphonia contains no Fighting-, Darkness-, or Metal-type Pokémon.
